Our whole class got a caterpillar. Our caterpillar started out as eggs. Then the stage was in the larvae stage. Then it molted its exoskeleton and head cap.Then it is a caterpillar. Then it is in the chrysalis. Then it is a butterfly. His name is Sydney. I am so sad because he is a butterfly. the pro legs are to climb. The true legs are to dig. The spiracles are so that you can breath. The bristles are so the sun doesn't re fled off and so birds don't eat him. Some of the chrysalis have become a butterfly. I forgot to add something before the chrysalis before it is in a j shape.  It is the best thing that you had ever had. I wish that they could live fever. I forgot to say what they eat. They eat a type of food that is called mallow. Almost all of the chrysalis have emerged. I love the butterfly!!!!!! I am so glad that i got them. I want to watch the butterfly fly.
I am so happy that they are a butterfly!!!!!!!! The butterfly is called the painted lady. I LOVE THEM!!!!!

   My caterpillar is almost a chrysallis. It is in a J shape . Its starting to build its chrysillas. The chrysillas looks like a shiny silver goo.Now it is half way done! It is fully in a chrysalis now! 2 more days until it emerges! It has a crack in it! It is a butterfly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!I am so happy!!!!!!

Mrs. Furmun brot us caterpillars in a cup and  Mrs. Furman  cauld  numbers to gat are caterpillar to are tabel. Mis furman got us a book to right words on. It took long for the catepillar to molt. My butterfly has a name it is Bob. I am excited when I saw three butterflies. My caterpillar turned into a chrysalis on May 17 2012. The first day of our life cycle of the caterpillar the caterpillars were very tiny then in about 2 weeks later it was large. Then it turned into a J shape and got ready to go into a chrysalis.

Mrs. Furman starded gaving us our caterpillar. I was so happy to see my caterpillar. My caterpillar was named boby. It was so tiny. It ate mallow. It molt for the last time. Then it wated for 6 hours. Then it became a beautiful butterfy. Then the butterfly emerge I love the colorful details that the butterfly has. When it was a caterpillar it had truelegs.

When our caterpillars came they were in the larvae stage. When my caterpillar molted he got bigger. When my caterpillar molted you could see his head cap. His head cap is shiny. You could also see his exoskeleton. His exoskeleton is fuzzy. After a week my caterpillar was huge. My caterpillars name is John. Now my caterpillar is gigantic. My caterpillar is in a j shape now getting ready to make a chrysalis. After a chrysalis my caterpillar will turn into a butterfly. When it turns into a butterfly it will have to wait a while until it can fly.
Now my caterpillar is in a chrysalis. He is going to be a butterfly soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is 3 butterflies right now. Only 2 butterflies can fly because 1 just emerged from his chrysalis. The butterflies eat from a sponge with sugar and water in it. Our butterflies are painted ladies. I am so happy our caterpillers turned into butterflies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today one of the butterflies escaped from the little butterfly house and Mrs.Furman had to pick it up and put it back in the little butterfly house. Not all of the butterflies have emerged from their chrysalises but they will soon.

My caterpillar name is pac man. He will be flying everywhere. He is cool because he was the first to trn to a chrysalis. He is a butterfly now. Now he eat food. His wings color is cool.

We fist got the caterpillers in the larva part. The larva ate itile it was fully grown. Then it's a great big fat catepiller. After that it molts and terns to a chrysalis. After a fue days the chrysalis will turn to a beautiful butterfly. After that the type of butterfly called a painted lady. Mrs.Furman put shuger and water mix together. They look like a monork.
